This is a great Roman Fort, which is well served by a free audio tour and displays. Parking is free on site. There is a small museum which had some interesting artifacts.

Had a wonderful few hours touring around this Roman Fort. Had a free audio tour handset that brought the history alive. Museum had many artifacts from the Roman occupation of Britain.

A delightful surprise. We decided to take advantage of the fantastic September weather to visit Richborough and then do a walk around Sandwich. So we arrived about 11 ….and left after the Amphitheatre walking tour at about 4:00 !!! …
